I'm a husband, a son, a father, and a grandfather. I'm a Caribbean American from St Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I'm an Army Veteran who has been to war and served in multiple countries around the world. I'm trained in veteran's peer support. I'm an ordained pastor, privileged to serve in the local church. I've had crazy diverse job experiences and owned businesses, and because of all of this, I have some unique views, but what really matters here, is that I am Benjamin, a son of God, designed to love God and love people. I believe I'm called to change people's perspectives, because if I can change your perspective, you can change your life.

This was a very interesting experience. Not just this situation, but my life being from the US Virgin Islands, and living in the USA. Looking like a Black Man to everyone, but being told "your not a real brother" by Black Americans.
